Happy New Year

Didn't stay up too late last night, once Josh and I had watched the fireworks we all headed bed. Well not quite all of us, Ky was out and only returned in time for steak pie this evening - as long as the promise of a home cooked meal brings her back I can't really complain. Other than Coco's walks we had a fairly lazy day. This evening we attended the Fire and Light event at the Kelpies. I loved these lanterns, some had been made at a workshop in the library and really hadn't looked very impressive sitting on the basement floor but once lit up they looked fantastic. The whole event was quite fantastic but I wish there had been a little more information about it  - I'm sure there must have been a wonderful story behind the fire dancers and the giant bird (maybe dragon) they were trying to defeat and the wishes thrown to the fire.
