Sunrise New Year's Day 2017

Taken at 7:09 AM sunrise.  We decided to forgo the crowds up on Makapu'u and instead went next door to Sandy Beach.  We had forgotten about the race that starts at sunup and all the parking lots were full, finally parked along the road.  Why we thought this would be less crowded. . . ?  But it was beautiful, as always, with some cloud cover, with Molokai and Lanai both visible on the horizon.  A chill breeze across the water, overnite temperatures were in the upper 60s F.  Now it's a beautiful sunny, windy day.
