Heron on a boat

Cycled into town to replace the iron that we bought just before new year. The iron seems to have a design fault so that water drips from the steam dial over the iron and the hand of the ironer. A lot of reviews seem to mention the same problem but we bought it on impulse without doing our research. 

It was a lovely bright sunny day but a bit slippery on the pavements and roads. Great to be back on my bike again after a break over Christmas. I saw this heron sitting on the boats moored up on the opposite bank of the river. He looks a bit glum. Didn't want to stop for too long as it was quite cold. 

Managed a quick walk up to the local shops too to get salad for tea and some milk. Back to work for everyone tomorrow.
