Woodpecker through a window

We haven't seen the woodpecker in the garden for a while so it was a treat to spot it on one of the feeders when I was sorting out some breakfast. i just had time to grab my camera before it headed off. 

The local squirrels have almost destroyed this suet log feeder (they stole the first one!) so it is chained up until they manage to chew through the rest of the holes. 

Plans for a quiet New Year's eve with both boys at home for a change. At least we won't have to stay sober for taxi duties this year.
