Day 3: Henry

2years 300days

More busy but funness today. It was a glorious morning so we got up and out early. We were waiting at the door of the shop for its opening at 8am. We bought ourselves some beach supplies and headed down in the beautiful morning light to Caister beach. We found ourselves a gorgeous, quiet beach with wonderfully soft white sand and pretty dunes. And great winds for flying Henry, her very first kite.

We played a good long time on the beach, wandering, climbing the dunes, digging, chasing Henry, before we walked back up, stopping at the park for a little play. We then went to the messy play session with the Funstars. Katie had a wonderful time doing a big spider and a glittery picture that she took ages over.

We headed back to the caravan for a bit of quiet time - it lasted only a few minutes before our friends arrived and the boys bounced around the caravan! The children all had lunch before I took Katie and the boys to the sports afternoon on the green, while Louise went to collect the other friends who were joining us. Katie had a brilliant time joining in the warm up in her little team, starting out with the first race. Until Rory the Tiger and Ned appeared on the Games field. She sobbed and ran back to me, as far away from them as she could, and wouldnt go back to play, bless her! Half way through the games, Aunty Nadine and Spencer arrived. The boys' faces were fabulous as they didnt know they were coming too.

We all went for a drink and snack after the sports before heading back to the caravan for lollies, and more food (boys eat SOOOO much!!!). Katie was a very tired little lady, so we stayed home rather than going for a barbecue with the others. Fun times though.
