Sowing the Seeds of Love....

Today we ventured up to the Allotment.

We knew that contrary to the other days (i mean who visits an allotment on Christmas Eve, or New Years Eve? ) that people would be there.

And we were right.  There were people going in the gate... and we  met D and Mr and Mrs P.     D came with us to the plot and gave us a bit of history and pointed out the trees and the shade which would be forthcoming...   Not something I had even contemplated.

Anyways, we set about marking out our plot; we were equipped with pegs and string... and then we met J and then S.  A very, very friendly bunch they all are.     J was especially welcoming and took us over to his plot to let us see how he makes use of the mole hills, leaf fall and seaweed.   He even has a pond, and an insect sanctuary, and tells me that in the summer months, he has dragonflies buzzing round his pond - I told him I would be a permanent fixture hanging over his fence :-)

So now instead of one big rectangle, we have four smaller rectangles.  I am thinking I will mark off the smaller rectangles into smaller rectangles, to make them more "dogwithnobrain-workable".

Am quite excited about this.  I am.
