Hobbit country

Happy New Year everyone!   This is the I Site of the small central North Happy New Year and Best Wishes for 2017 to all my blip friends.  This is the I-Site of the small central North Island country town of Matamata. The movie set of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the Hobbit films is close to here and tours of the set is now a popular tourist attraction.  We usually pass through here when driving to Auckland. It is a popular place to stop for a break.  As well as dairy farming a lot of asparagus and potatoes are grown in this area.  It also home to a number of racing stables.
