Lloydkwartier

The port of Lloydkwartier was built around 1900. Since the sixties many companies moved their operations to the newer ports in Rotterdam South. In 1970s one of the last major transshipment of society Müller & Co's Stevedores of Müllerpier moved too. Many of the old buildings have been preserved and turned into housing, this give the district its own character. By 2014 the district will have 1,750 homes and 65,000 m2 of business space.
