A crown on his life

Found this morning yesterday's e-mail message that informed me of the passing away of my former colleague Ric Bitter and his farewell service of today.
Together with his wife and friends he'd prepared that service of celebrating his life once more and it was a service full of love and joys shared again. One of his music friends played a beautiful and moving solo on the saxophone for him.

It was like we put a crown on Ric's head before his travels into the beyond.
