I've decided to make 2017 into a year of creativity. What better to start with, than the calendar? :) I already like the front it came with, but I wanted to make it a bit more of my own. I started with a page about tea, from a magazine. I thought the leaves would make a good background. Then I've painted it with Gesso, to give the paper a bit more strength and cover the background a bit, to make it a bit more of a 'back drop'. Then I used a clear stamp and a brown ink pad, to make the tree. Now I'll let it dry for a bit and then do something with my acrylic paint. I need the year, of course, and green leaves. Perhaps it's a tree that bears flowers...and with birds in it. I'm not sure yet. :)
