We spent most of the day in Helsinki. I wanted to go the city archive where one can look up people who lived at a certain address between ca 1900 and 1970. I just had a name and an address but a man at the archives helped me look up the right file and sure enough I found out what my grandmother's maiden name was, not that it will help me much, it just said she was born in Sweden. But the service at this office was great.
