A designer institution

The Design Museum has recently relocated from Shad Thames to the former Commonwealth Institute building in Kensington. A couple of minutes walk from my office it was the perfect antidote for the back to work blues today.

Actually, work was absolutely fine, but having this on the doorstep to pop into at lunch times feels really exciting. An added bonus is that since it has moved the majority of the exhibitions are free to enter and the cavernous entrance hall has plenty of seats to while away a bit of time people watching, admiring the architecture or taking a few snaps.
