Sunrise, sunset

Woke to a beautiful sunrise over Whitby Abbey, and enjoyed a brief foray to Staithes and then a nice long walk along the beach at Sandsend-gorgeous great rolling waves at a huge bay with some interesting pebbles to pick through. The beach shop was being a bit hopeful with their wares set out (extra)....it was still pretty cold!
Back to Whitby for some lovely mushroom soup lunch. Before we left we popped into a very old fashioned bakers (5th generation of the same family) and bought more curd tarts and a pork pie for later.
On the drive back to Edinburgh saw a beautiful sunset....
Home to settle back into 'normal' life!
