Pelican pair

I felt it was time we took a day off for the holiday season and so we decided to do the Fleurieu Peninsula drive to the strawberry and cherry farms, and on to Goolwa for lunch.

Had our usual walk along the barrages to see the bird life and note how high the Murray River level was at this time. This helps give the mouth of the Murray a really good flush out.

We both love Pelicans - but our photos were taken at quite different locations. I liked this pair as at times they looked like they were courting. The thousands of cormorants were too far away to blip.
