A Very tame Chickadee

This sweet little bird allowed me to approach within
three feet.  I ran into the house, grabbed the camera
and took a few photos.  I really wanted to hold it in
my hand, but knew it would fly away.

In Europe this bird is called a coal tit; were these
birds brought down in mines to keep the miners
safe?
