How many years?

Although we moved to new offices back in June 2016, I'm still exploring the surrounding area at lunchtime.  On my walk today I came across this felled tree and couldn't help wondering what the surrounding area looked like when it first started to grow.  I expect there were a lot fewer business units and houses surrounding it back then.
