A Wintering Tree....

I saw this tree while at the grocery store.  I find the power lines distracting, but if you look around the lines, you can see the structure of the tree....
from the base trunk, you look up to see the first set of limbs that split upward (known as the primary limbs or branches).  Following along with your eye on that branch, you will see where more limbs split off, these are called the secondary branches.  Notice how they are thinner.  Following further with your eye, you will see thinner branches, known as tertiary branches.  These are thin and have small twigging for growth on them.
      Bonsai are just like this tall, living tree, only in miniature.  Our goal is mimic nature in health and beauty but finding the tree within the tree.
