Mallards on alert

These mallards often congregate on this mound by the pond at Warwick University.  They are highlighted in a shaft of light in an otherwise dull day.  They are paying attention to woody, as hubby is holding him back whilst I take the shot, a moment later they take flight into the safety of the pond.
