ANOTHER NECK RE-SET

I put hyperventilated cardboard (corrugated sandwiched in between two flat sheets) either side of the fingerboard to protect the table from the heat of an iron cranked up to linen heat. This hopefully softens the ancient glue enabling me to slip a slim blade in between fingerboard & table...

Patience is the virtue - brute force &  ignorance the alternative...
