Rhodes woz ere

The statue of Cecil Rhodes that kicked off 2 years (so far) of student unrest used to sit here. He deserved to go, and fees deserve to fall too, but some of the protest methods have been unsettling. I passed the marks left by a bonfire of paintings, with the outline of one frame still clearly visible on the charred ground.

It's interesting, and good, to be back in my old stomping ground.
