Sizzling chargrilled marinated beef in rich soy sauce served with salad and boiled rice. Mix a little rice with meat and dip, then transfer onto a large lettuce leaf and enjoy.
I chose bokum udon, thick noodles with chicken. Delicious. And I managed to use chopsticks for the whole meal.
#2 flew back from Korea last Friday. This was the first time we have all been together, to celebrate his safe return and his rather fabby uni exam results received just after he flew off in late June. He wanted to come here, and share some of his overseas culinary experience.
Shilla is Glasgow's only Korean Restaurant. 1138 Argyle Street. Worth finding, although very small. As we discovered, you do need a bit of elbow room for chopstick operations.
Next stop ... well, we have to try out one of the Japanese places, to share a little more of his summer.
