Home Pasture

It is always a joy to watch our horses in the minutes after they return to their home pasture. Tonight the rest of their herd is still in the barn but after 8 hours in the trailer we did not want to stall them right away. As you can see, they are happy enough just the two of them.

We had our first flat tire on the road today. Luckily we were able pull off the busy four lane (MN 169) onto a side road. A frustrated moment or two while we (Ron) struggled to get the bolts that hold the fancy hubcap off so we (Ron) could release the lug nuts and then it went easy. I hate to even think how it might have gone had it happened on the Interstate on busy Sunday afternoon. Feel like we dodged something there. Lesson learned, if I'm going to travel alone, I need roadside assistance for the horse trailer. No way do I have the strength to change the tires on a 5th wheel!

Not sure who was happier to be in the home pasture, these guys or Ron and me.
