Morning vista
I usually photograph the morning light at this time of year as we emerge from the woods to cross the pylon field on the St Ives Estate. The sun wasn't up but the streaks of light in the sky made a wonderful vista.
Here the light is seen through the trees above the start of the golf course. In the distance you can just make out the tiny point of Lister's Mill chimney in Bradford (located just below the branches where they cross in the centre.)
The sun had still not fully risen when we walked back to the village but we had been treated to magical light all the way.
It has been a lovely but chilly day and the sky is streaked pink again as the sun goes down at just after 4.00pm.
