It is Friday

The first gig of 2017 with the great "uncalled Four" and an excellent turn out.  This is Rob Steels  intimate with his double bass and the extra is of him and Tim Barty on full cylinders on his baritone sax.  There aren't many that can hold forth on this mega sax for a couple of hours. The other two were Jack Davies on drums and Mo Witham on guitar.
And it was the night for launching the calendar and despite some intention of recovering my costs, that aspiration totally failed!  Anyway it got a really good reception and I included one in the raffle along with a jazz mug! Mo and Tim featured in September so they got a calendar each.
I noticed a new face and as I had been told by Sheil that Sharon's dad might come, I approached and asked him if he really was Sharon's dad.  How does the conversation follow when he said he wasn't and also I have neither met or know Sharon nor her dad!!
