Minus 29.9C

It was icy cold today. The wind was blowing straight down the river lifitng a squall of snow off the ice and dropping the temps well into the minus 30s. I liked the somewhat 3D effect of this image. I had to take off my gloves to operate the camera and managed to snap only a few images before losing the feeling in my shutter finger (and a few other parts). That pretty much ended it.  Temperatures are expected to drop as low as minus 35C tonight.

PostBlip:  The temperature (minus 29.9C) was a record low for this day, 6 January - incidentally Orthodox Christmas Eve - and the coldest since records began 130 years ago.
