Brrrr....

And we started today with temps dipping below zero. And I was booked in to have the windows replaced.....

A rather long and chilly day! They like to start upstairs, and then work their way down, so they planned to do the three upstairs today, and then downstairs tomorrow. I didn't realise that they just hack away and get rid of the old ones all at once. By 10am, I had no upstairs windows at all, and it was freezing.

I watched mostly, as I had nowhere to go really. They were done by around 1:30pm, so that  just left me to clear up and reassemble the upstairs. But I was really pleased with the result. My favourite one is the bathroom, as the old one never shut properly, leaving cold air coming in. It felt really nice to be all snug and not feel the chill! 

Time will tell if the whole house will be warmer.....

* And it's my dear old man's birthday today. He would have been 95! Happy Birthday Gramps!
