The Abbey

This is Mount St Bernard Abbey situated in Charnwood Forest, Leicestershire.

I here to visit my Uncle who is a Cistercian Monk. These monks following the Rule of St Benedict according to the traditions of the Cistercian Order. Their life is a community one, lived in a spirit of simplicity, silence, and solitude. The day is made up of a careful balance between prayer and work.
