Day 007/17. Am I just grumpy in January?

A few small household jobs today including fitting a stairgate to prevent repeat accidents, emptying buckets of wet gooey moss trawled from the guttering, fitting a new front outside light and managing to split my work gloves.
So a new pair needed and, quite amazingly, these come with an Instruction Manual. What? For gloves? Is it all getting worse? Or am I just particularly grumpy in January?
