Knife Sharpener

We had a day out at Belsay Hall, an English Heritage venue not far from Newcastle. The Middleton family (?any relation to Kate - I'm not sure) lived on this site from about 1270 to 1962. There's an impressive castle with a 14th Century pele tower dating from the 14th Century and a hall from the early 19th Century, along with extensive grounds including an old quarry.

We had lunch in their cafe which contains a display of old kitchen equipment, including this rather fancy knife sharpener.

(I'll probably blip the castle at a later date, but it had scaffolding up today which would rather spoil the photo.)
