Stall, Cowal Games

Cowal Games is the big annual event in Dunoon, full of Pipe Bands & HIghland Dancers as well as lots of other competition and music. It claims to be the biggest Highland Gathering in the world.

The main street of the town is closed off on Games Saturday and , traditionally, the bands parade up it from the pier and down again on their way home.

There is lots to see, but also lots to buy for there are a whole range of stalls at the Stadium and elsewhere which have food and drink and ice cream as well as piping gear, sporrans, skian dhus, clothing and lots of other things. And the local shops do a good trade as well.

I blipped from the Satadium last year but this stall was at the Jane Villas' car park in the town centre . and had an amazing variety of things on display including inflatable snakes, cuddly monkeys and Scottish flags.
