on this 1st saturday of the new year - we have officially completed our 1st full week of the new year as well - not that anybody's tracking these things - i am not, mind you - the only reason i even noticed is because there's a little calendar on my ipad next to the box where - my photo gets uploaded & there the whole 1st week is neatly filled in - i thought 'wow, here the year just began & we're already down 1 week?' - sheesh, it simply goes by so quickly before we even have an opportunity to breathe - 7 full days gone - i remember when i was a kid thinking how the days seemed to pass so slowly - now it's 'slow down!'

but i digress, which isn't anything new - i was just imagining for this initial saturday - i would offer up a watercolor painting of a pink bouquet of flowers for you - for some of you, it may be a nice treat - if you never get flowers from anyone - consider this my treat to you - savor the color, how there are several shades of pink to enjoy - and take delight in the fact you don't need to worry about changing the water - all you need to do is stare at them and know it's been...
