Clach nam Piobair.....

or Piper's Stone, believed to be where  the Jacobite piper  stood and played during the Battle of Cromdale in 1690. It is right of the right hand tree and the battlefield where most of his comrades were killed by the Hanoverians is the yellowish grassy mound centre of shot and appearing above the stone.
It was a lovely morning with the sun just about to appear over the hills. On the way down had to remove hat, gloves and jacket. Well above 10C and calm.
