In the woods.....

I went ' bark' hunting today and found this tree. I've no idea what type it is but I liked the layered effect it had and then realised it made quite a nice image with the D of F and the background trees. Think I'll make it my WBC entry. Taken manually as well which once again I was pleased about.
It's been a quiet day and after helping mum with some stuff I've been making furniture and tidying up.
Can't believe school is back tomorrow ....AND it's a full moon week ! Busy week ahead both socially and work wise. But.... as I left mum's I noticed that the bush by her gate is beginning to bud [ extra photo]. A bit early I guess but still... signs of the world turning.
