Sad Sunflowers

Went for an early morning walk with my trusty companion Riva.
It was one of those misty mornings, with reduced visibility. Not a soul to be seen and only the cawing crows watching as we passed by.
We came across the sad sunflowers, heads bowed and leaves decaying, towards the end of our walk and I remembered how just a few short months ago they had stood tall and resplendent.
We went out for lunch at our local pub - all 8 of us and are now relaxing back at home.
Looking forward to watching some television tonight before returning to work tomorrow.
