Now that is the shameless plug out of the way- Edinburgh is frothing at festival time. Living up North, I love the atmosphere, but I think if I lived in the Capitol I might end up strangling a tourist by their camera cord.

Edinburgh, like any beautifully bustling city, has such a seamier side to it too. I overheard a muzo type with a promo type chatting about coke, where to find it, and how one doesn't anymore cos it became a bit of a problem.

At this point I leaned in and said in my kindest tone:

"Have you thought of trying Fanta?"
