King Edward V11 Memorial Sanatorium
In 1900 construction began on the King Edward Sanatorium, much later it was used to treat Tuberculosis. Those living locally know that lots of people died there, and in the neighbouring fields the dead were buried, but because of the fact that there were so many, the bodies were buried standing up to fit them all in. Now this has resulted in the land local to it not being built on because it has to be left for a 100 years due to the disease. If you live not far from it like I do, would you see this as a good or a bad thing. Personally I like seeing the fields and not more houses. Just to let you know this lovely building has now been turned into luxury apartments.
