Missy often comes out of the water crunching on a razor clam or a cockle but today she excelled herself when she dragged this out.

Obviously she didn't. Actually it's rather sad, porpoise are often spotted in the Mersey but this poor little thing had been washed up dead on the beach.

It was still a lovely couple of hours walk though with an eerie mist over the sea.
