Half Minimalist
Actually the bottom half of the picture! My first thought for my blip was just the pole and the jetty to the left of the pole, frozen in the ice that covers the lake, and barely visible because the snow has almost stolen all the shapes.
In the end I decided the minimalism was unnecessary and chose this picture which included the dying sun and the land on the far side of the lake.
Just a short walk today because we both seem to have a cold, and a lot of work waited at home.
There was a real smell of mouse in our hall and we decided to check in, under, and over our fitted cupboards in the hall. As usual when we empty a cupboard we are amazed at how much stuff it contains, and said stuff sprawls across the hall. As far as the possible dead mouse went we had no luck - no small corpses appeared. Under the cupboards there was a fair amount of mouse poo which we cleared away.
Though I often mention how much I appreciate the lovely place we live in, it isn't perfect! One of the imperfections is the annual invasion of mice as the cold and snow start to bite. The house is built of logs and the basic wall is lined on both the outside and inside. This gives lots of secret places for the mice to roam through.
It is the first time we've had this smell however, but it does seem to be lessening now. Anyway, we now have two very clean and thoroughly sorted out cupboards in the hall.
