House with a view

My friends are in the process of buying a new home. I say new, but it has been around since the 1700s! It is off the beaten track and hasn't been lived in for about 6 years, although it looks as though it has been a lot longer. I went to visit today for the first time. Suffice to say, they have a long road ahead of them. Thankfully they have great vision and lots of patience. This is the view from the front of the house.
