To Scoraig

I awoke a bit bleary, showered, re-caffeinated and headed for Breakachy near Beauly to acquire a couple of ridiculously powerful PA amplifiers for Angus. The seller was up a classic single track road, and has artist and builder parents. The deal is a good one.

Then up the road to Badrallach and Scoraig. It's a lovely day, and the walk in is perfect. I stop and chat with William and Alex before cutting over the hill toward Achmore. Despite the sun, the ground is still frozen, and each footfall crunches through another clump of semi-solid vegetation.

John and Debbie are on good form. Debbie is trying to finish a warp on her loom, but it is twisted and her favourite shuttle breaks. John goes out to dig parsnips and I shell peanuts for nut burgers. William and Cathy pop over to first foot. There's even prosecco (to celebrate more of Debbie's academic triumph).

The night ends with whisky and cheese. Perfection.
