Red Poppy

There are few poppies left now. I love this red and black one with the touches of white.

The morning was misty. I found two wet praying mantis nymphs. See extra shot. The one on the curry flowers is still very small,  about 10mm. Note its beautiful headgear. The other on the artichoke leaf is the biggest I have seen this season- about 15mm. The photos are grainy because the light was poor. Unfortunately my best macro camera does not perform well when the ISO is over 200.
