Capturing the past in the present for the future

I started August with the best of intentions and really wanted to take a photo each day, complete with blurb, but it's a lot harder than I thought it would be and I've subsequently failed. Anyway, there's always next month...

When Carmen and I were on holiday and catching up with relatives, she really enjoyed using their camcorder and making little films. She filmed a tour of mum & dad's house and on visiting her Great Nan (pictured) she showed her back the film and then we interviewed Nan about what she was like when she was a little girl.

Carmen is actually named after a friend of Nan's, so she got to capture the story behing her name on camera for the ages.

I love this creative streak that she has in her (Carmen) and fully intend to nurture this wherever I can!
