Down in the Dell

I got down into the Dell this afternoon - found it looking really bleak.  It's been lush and abundant this year, with lots of hostas, ferns and other shady characters.  Some of the ferns, however, are still hanging on in there.  This plant is Dryopteris Wallichiana with a newer one in the foreground.  Better get down there tomorrow with the secateurs!
