House Finch

I ventured out into the backyard for a few quick shots and about five minutes was all I could tolerate.  Temperatures are in the low 20's (around -6 C), after overnight temps in the teens (around -10 C).  I also got a shot of a white-breasted sparrow but since WRPerry posted a much better shot than mine, I opted for this colorful little male house finch. 

We are still waiting for our granddaughter - now 5 days late.
