Belmont transmitter

I went to Horncastle to visit Mum today. I put up a couple of bird boxes in the garden and two solar lights on the house for her.
The Belmont transmitter is a landmark that is hard to miss on the drive over & back. It was the tallest structure in the UK until the top section was removed a few years back, but it is still impressive. As a child I remember often gazing at the red lights of Belmont from my granny's house when I stayed there. I grabbed this quick shot of it on the way back home this evening
