Spit Spot

Our last house guest has left today. I think there's only been 2 days in the last 3 weeks when we haven't had company. 

So the house feels a bit messy. On the kitchen table where my lap top is, I can see 2 torches, 2 spanners, a magazine, 2 oyster cards, a Bible, keys, receipts, books, revision aides, thermoses, water bottles and pens, plus the cups, candles and flowers that I normally have on it. And I only cleared it yesterday for my parent's visit.  :-{

So, as we haven't got a cleaner, I'd really like Mary Poppins to pay a visit and do her thing. 'Best foot forward. Spit spot.'. Just how do I get Mary Poppins to come?
