Reflections...
...of the pilings that hold up one of the sitting areas at the yacht club. I liked the soft tones in this.
While we were there we took one of the paths down to the far end, where we could see 3 men walking on the ice & setting their tips for ice fishing--it made me nervous, as there were lots of small areas of open water inside the breakers, which means the ice isn't all that thick, although I DO have to say that it looked solid along the wall of the inner breaker, which is more the area of where they were. (There was just a story on the news last week about 2 men drowning on a lake when they were ice fishing, as the ice wasn't thick enough & they fell through & couldn't get out.) Even Tom, who usually says "The ice is fine!" , said he thought they should at least have attached one end of a rope to a tree & the other to themselves so that if they fell through, they could pull themselves out. They didn't seem the least concerned though, so hopefully they have the good sense to know what they're doing! Snow's supposed to be on the way tonight...we'll see! :))
