Oberon

Have you ever slept, alone, in a room with a ticking clock? With your ear pressed against the pillow, you can hear your own pulse, the blood surging like waves on a beach. And in your other ear is the ticking of the clock. The two rhythms combine in a single, slower pulse as the red waves gradually align with the clock's tick-tocks and then drift apart into a limping syncopation.

It is the same with Oberon's world and our own. They sit side-by-side but separate until their rhythms synchronise and the two become one. This coexistence lasts a single night. A night which is always Midsummer - whatever the season on the calendar. During this night, Oberon's people walk upon our earth and their magic can affect our lives. At the same time, it is possible for us to visit his realm and maybe our ways seem as magical to them. But all visitors must be home by dawn unless they wish to stay where they do not belong.
