Tilt and shift
I bought the tilt and shift adapter for micro four thirds two or three years ago, but I've never used it much. The Nikon lens I use it with is an old 20mm which I bought for my early D100 - in those days Nikon did not produce lenses for the APS format, so my standard zoom was the 24-85, and most cost-effective way of getting something shorter than an equivalent 36mm seemed this Nikon lens. Unfortunately when I came to try to use the lens and adapter a few months ago I found that the aperture seemed stuck somewhere in the middle of the range, and much fiddling and fitting it back on the old DF100 had no effect. Over Christmas I decided I should try to get it fixed. WEX repairs were closed until the new year, so it didn't make any progress until they phoned me on 3rd January, and arrangement were made for it to be collected by UPS - they arrived to collect it within 30 minutes of the phonemail to WEX. Anyway, it was fixed and returned to me today, 9th January, before 10:00am - remarkably fast and painless service (though like all repairs it was not cheap!). So before trying it out I thought I'd take a photograph of the lens and adapter themselves. It's worth noting that it's fitted to the Pen F - the bulk associated with the tilt-shift adapter means it can only be mounted on micro four thirds cameras which do not have a central hump which protrudes above the lens mount, so it's OK with the Pens and with Panasonics like the GX7, but it won't fit cameras like the E_M5, E-M1, GH4 etc.
Tomorrow I'll try using using it, though my technique with tilt and shift isn't good, and I don't really have a subject to had for which I really need it.
