Eleven Pipers Piping

A few more than eleven actually. The costume festival is on this weekend in Saas Fee. People from around the Valais come in their traditional dress. There are marching bands from the local area and traditional dancing. They march down the main street from the bus station and on to the church. From here its on to a large tent pitched on the sports field.
In the tent we had beer and sausage watched the bands and sang along with the songs we could. (failed miserably on the swiss national anthem where virtually the whole tent stood up and sang). Great evening.
